Here is what I have come to know. Discouragement can be dangerous.
When people get discouraged, people get distracted and when people get distracted, unimportant things become important and important things become unimportant. When people get discouraged, minor things become major things! What am I getting at? Well, discouraged people do not feel like celebrating the truth that God is on the move. Discouraged souls do not feel like telling other people about Jesus. When people get discouraged, they get distracted by laughable business instead being all about the Father’s business.
Folks, may I speak a word to and over any discouragement here today?
2nd Chronicles 32:7 say, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because … there is a greater power with us ...”
2nd Chronicles 20:14-17 says, “Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s ... You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you ... Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.”
