Men, are you in the habit of leaning on God for wisdom?
James 1:5 gives us the skinny. “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Men, be wise about this. Jesus was and is a man's man. Jesus was and is the masculine prototype. If only we men knew that we did not have to look outside the church for adventure or check our masculinity at the door, oh, what a spiritual mark we could leave on things! Men! What matters most in this life is not your zeal, but rather, what you are zealous about. Now that is wisdom! Men, put down the remote control, get off of the sofa, turn off your laptop and think about the following activities: You and your son, mow your neighbor’s yards both to the left and to the right! Men, stand in line with your daughter and pay for the breakfast of the family right behind you. Men, take your wife to one of our senior adult homes and spend the afternoon cleaning out their gutters.
Men, bring your entire family to the church next Saturday and take on a project! Men, that is putting wisdom into practice.
