When you pulled on the ropes, the mattress tightened which made the bed more firm. That is where we get the phrase, "goodnight, sleep tight." I do not know about you, but there are those nights when I do not sleep tight and it all has to do with what I am thinking!
Why do today’s thoughts matter in regards to tomorrow? What does “stinkin thinkin” look like? How should the Christian think? Do we serve a risen savior?
Didn’t God defeat the most negative, destructive forces in our world — Death and the Devil? If all of that is true, our thinking ought to reflect it!
If you are a 21st century American, you have been challenged to think in politically correct ways, environmentally correct ways, gender correct ways and tolerant correct ways, but the only way for all of us to live the abundant life is to think in biblically correct ways.
What does that look like? Well, let us take a look at Philippians 4:8, “…whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.”
